Lochmueller Group is excited to welcome Mary Lamie, PE, as our new Illinois Regional Leader! Mary brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in transportation, infrastructure, economic development, and public-private partnerships throughout Illinois and the greater St. Louis region. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President of Multi Modal Enterprises for Bi-State Development, overseeing the St. Louis Regional Freightway, St. Louis Downtown Airport, Gateway Arch National Park operations, and Gateway Arch Riverboats.

Throughout her distinguished career, Mary has led nationally recognized transportation initiatives, secured support for transformative infrastructure investments, and managed complex programs that have enhanced mobility, economic growth, and quality of life across Missouri and Illinois. Her extensive leadership experience also includes serving as Deputy Director of Highways and Region 5 Engineer for the Illinois Department of Transportation, where she directed transportation programs across southern Illinois and oversaw major infrastructure investments and operations.
Mary's career has been marked by a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and public service. She has received numerous industry honors, including the Transportation Club of St. Louis Lifetime Achievement Award; Professional of the Year from the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Gateway Section; and multiple leadership and community impact awards throughout her career.
As Illinois Regional Leader, Mary will provide strategic leadership and direction across Lochmueller’s Illinois offices, overseeing both the Central Illinois region, including our Champaign and Springfield offices, and the Southern Illinois region, including our Edwardsville and Belleville offices. She will also draw on her extensive experience in freight and intermodal transportation to support initiatives that enhance regional, national, and global supply chain competitiveness, advance freight mobility and strengthen critical connections between transportation infrastructure and economic development.
