Lochmueller Group is proud to announce the appointment of Chris Beard, PE, PTOE, Jeff DeWitt, PE, BCEE, and Jason DuPont, PE, as Vice Presidents & Sector Leaders. This new tier of leadership reflects the firm’s continued growth and commitment to strengthening cross-discipline collaboration, expanding executive bandwidth, and advancing strategic initiatives.
Each Sector Leader will oversee a group of related disciplines, providing focused leadership and fostering alignment across teams. This structure is designed to enhance operational efficiency, support innovation, and ensure that Lochmueller continues to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions to clients.
With 20 years of experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning, Chris brings a deep understanding of multimodal systems, infrastructure strategy, and community-focused design to this new leadership role. Since first joining Lochmueller in 2010, he has served in several key roles, including Transportation Project Engineer, Manager of Transportation Planning, and Director of Traffic Engineering & Planning.
Chris has led a wide range of high-impact projects across the Midwest, and his expertise spans corridor planning, signal optimization, advanced modeling, and campus mobility strategies. He also brings private-sector insight with a focus on logistics and operational optimization.
As Transportation Sector Leader, Chris will oversee the Highway Design, Bridges & Structural Design, Traffic Engineering & Planning, and Rail Services disciplines. His appointment as Vice President reflects Lochmueller’s commitment to cross-discipline collaboration and delivering integrated, high-quality solutions that improve mobility and support community vitality.

With 29 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering, Jeff has been a cornerstone of Lochmueller’s Water Resources expertise since joining the firm in 2010. His leadership journey has included Manager of Water Resources and Director of Water Resources.
Jeff has led hundreds of projects across drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems—from planning and design through construction. He has worked with municipalities across Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Ohio, helping communities meet regulatory requirements, improve service reliability, and plan for future growth.
As Utility, Industrial, & Development Sector Leader, Jeff will oversee Water Resources, Site/Civil, and Urban Design & Landscape Architecture, with the anticipated expansion of several other disciplines in the near future. His appointment as Vice President reflects Lochmueller’s commitment to integrated infrastructure solutions and sustainable development.

With 27 years of experience and a career spanning environmental services, ecological restoration, and NEPA documentation, Jason has been a foundational leader at Lochmueller since joining the firm in 1999. His leadership journey has included multiple roles, most recently Director of Environmental Services.
Jason’s expertise covers a wide range of disciplines including transportation corridor clearance, wetland and stream mitigation, and natural channel design, in addition to leading some of the most complex environmental projects in the region.
As Environmental & Land Services Sector Leader, Jason will oversee Environmental Services, Wetlands/Natural Waterways, and Land Services, the latter of which includes Geomatics (Survey & ROW Engineering), Geospatial (LiDAR & Aerial Imaging), and Land Acquisition & ROW Services. His appointment as Vice President reflects Lochmueller’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure, regulatory leadership, and environmental stewardship.
